Drifting away from assurance

There are many times when you think that it is through the tough times that you will remember what God has given you and done.

John 16:33

I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me there on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart because I have overcome the world.

As you have read the times when you were facing many challenges in your life, you would remember all you went through to be where you are, or the challenges you are currently facing. During such times understand that Jesus has told us this to show us the realities of being with Him

1.      “Trials and sorrow”  you are to experience notice this that Jesus tells us that challenges, you may have are trials and sorrow is what as well however what may weigh you down you will be a certain time to direct you to…

2.      The “peace “ that is within Him.  What happens when you start not directing yourself to Jesus? That is when Drifting away can occur, you start to become different and believe more in deception.

Hebrews 2:1 NLT

So we must listen very carefully to the truth we have heard, or we may drift away from it.

When you read the scripture you must realise that listening to the truth and acting on it acts as a form of place where you’re anchored in, just like a ship if it does not release anchor it will not remain, it soon drifts away, the further you are from the truth the more you start to change, environment changes, etc.

What change is that the people you would not sit with start to be more approachable, the atmosphere you are experiencing is different and the behaviour begins to change little by little. This can be noticed when you are in the presence of God feel new, filled and do not desire the things that you are being offered from this world. That happens because you are being filled with more in your spirit that the desires for external things change, whenever you start to distance yourself from the truth which is Jesus and his guidance you start to be vulnerable to different teachings and these teachings don’t just come, they condition you to question your belief in what is said in the Bible.

There are complications in your drift away from assurance, which can cause a lot of confusion in your walk, and you may start even believing in the world doctrine while still believing in God.

Therefore the more your time is not built on your alignment with ways in which God will work in you to produce better expectations in your life for when you don’t centre God there’s a lot of falling short; however, since God’s spirit is in you and God’s sovereignty you will be led to the truth more. As a conclusion remember Jesus Loves You.
